What are the best snow tires for a Ford Fusion?

Nervous mom here—my daughter is taking our Ford Fusion with her when she goes away to college, and I want to make sure that she’s properly equipped to deal with the winter weather. I’m going to get her a set of snow tires, but I want them to be good ones! What are the best snow tires for a Ford Fusion?

Sending a kid and a car to college is nerve-wracking—we get it! Some of the best snow tires for a Ford Fusion include Bridgestone Blizzak WS90 and Michelin X-Ice Xi3.
These are both highly reviewed for having excellent traction and superior stopping power in ice and snow. But there are certainly other choices out there, and you have plenty of options to choose from.
Broadly speaking, a good snow tire will have a deep, zig-zagging tread pattern and be made of rubber that is resistant to getting stiff in freezing temperatures. No snow tire is flawless though, so make sure she brushes up on some winter driving tips and learns a little about how to drive in the snow before she sets out!
