The best snow tires for a 2019
Subaru Forester
are the Bridgestone Blizzak DM-V2 winter tires. You’ll probably need a tire size of 225/60R17 to fit your Forester, and you can expect to pay about $184 each for these babies. Be sure to look at your owner’s manual to double-check what your specific vehicle requires.
Even if your vehicle is equipped with all-wheel drive, a good set of snow tires is essential if you live in a climate that’s well-acquainted with Jack Frost. Snow tires increase traction to make sure your Subaru stays safe on roads covered in snow and ice. Without enough traction, you could be slipping and sliding all over the road.
If you live in an area that only gets the occasional winter weather event, you might be able to get by with all-weather tires as long as you have all-wheel drive. These won’t be as heavy-duty as snow tires, but they’re more capable than regular all-season tires—and Consumer Reports recommends Michelin CrossClimate 2 tires for the job.
