That said, I’d like to buy a car that fared well in recent crash tests. What are some of the top crash test safety ratings for passenger vehicles this year?

Each year, car companies devise more sophisticated technology to keep drivers safe. Once equipped with this new technology, cars are sent to the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) and the
National Highway Traffic Safety Administration
(NHTSA) for testing. Only the best cars are awarded five-star ratings and Top Safety Pick+ ratings.Some of the best recent crash safety ratings for passenger vehicles were awarded to:
