What are the best places to live in Virginia Beach?

I’ve always wanted to live near the beach, but I don’t want a ton of tourists running around. Virginia Beach is slightly touristy, but I found it a lot less touristy than some of the other beach towns on the East Coast. I’m thinking of moving, but I don’t know where to live. What are some of the best places to live in Virginia Beach?

Although
Virginia Beach
is certainly busy in the summer months, it doesn’t have the overly touristy feeling of places like Ocean City or Myrtle Beach. Plus, it has plenty of neighborhoods that offer some solace from the crowd. If you want to plan your next move, here are some of the best places to live in Virginia Beach:
  • Sandbridge Beach: Sandbridge Beach is separated from other neighborhoods by state parks and wildlife refuges. If you want something exclusive and quaint, this is a great option.
  • Chic’s Beach: Running along the coast of Chesapeake Bay, Chic’s Beach has beachfront homes that cost millions and much more affordable condos. It also has plenty of local seafood restaurants as well as mom-and-pop stores to do your dining and shopping.
  • Birdneck Point: Close to the beach, the interstate, and plenty of shopping, Birdneck point has it all in one convenient location. It’s also on a peninsula with no through traffic, meaning that you have the neighborhood all to yourself.
If you want to live right on the beach, it’s going to cost a bit more. But by using the
