I was just accepted into a doctorate program at the University of Toledo, so I’m moving to the city soon. I visited the campus, but outside of that, I’m not really knowledgeable about the different neighborhoods. What are some of the best places to live in Toledo?

has plenty of neighborhoods to potentially call home. Here are some of the best places to live in Toledo:- Westgate: With proximity to shopping, dining, entertainment, and nightlife, Westgate is perhaps the most convenient neighborhood in Toledo. Quiet streets are ideal for a doctoral student looking to study, while homes range from small two-bedroom houses to eight-bedroom mansions.
- Ottawa Hills: With a median income of $111,000, Ottawa Hills is the wealthiest neighborhood in the city. You’re within five minutes of the University of Toledo, but prices for homes here are a bit steep.
- Old West End: Old West End features Italian Renaissance, Queen Anne, Dutch Colonial, Colonial, Georgian, French Second Empire, and Arts and Crafts homes, all within 25 blocks. Plus, it’s just a 10-minute drive to the university or two minutes to I-75.
