What are the best places to live in Reading?
I got married to my wife last year and we currently live in Pittsburgh, but she wants to move closer to her aging parents in Reading. She hasn’t lived there in 15 years so we’re not sure where to look for a house. What are some of the best places to live in Reading?

- Centre Park: If you want tree-lined, shady streets and old Victorian homes, Centre Park is where you need to be. Down Schuylkill Avenue, you have plenty of international restaurants to enjoy—an anomaly for a town with less than 100,000 people.
- College Heights: Located to the northeast of downtown, College Heights has a more suburban feel, packed with parks and biking trails. If you want the suburban feel, you won’t find a better option.
- Downtown: If you want easy access to the biggest attractions in Reading, downtown is where you need to go. While it may not be conducive to taking care of parents (if you’re having them in your home), it’s close to shopping, restaurants, and entertainment.
