Situated between San Francisco and Silicon Valley, Fremont,
California
is an incredible city. The best places to live in Fremont are Glenmoor Gardens, Irvington, and Baylands. Your son will no doubt find some like-minded, change-the-world types in these areas. They’re also great spots to start a family if he’s looking to do so.
Glenmoor Gardens:
Dating back to the 1950s, Glenmoor Gardens is a 55-minute drive to San Francisco. A master-planned community dotted with ranch homes and large backyards, it’s perfect for families, dogs, and tech whizzes to mull about barefoot as they dream up their next society-shaking invention. The schools are highly rated, and there are plenty of local shops and parks.
Irvington:
Irvington is a perfect spot to raise a family, with its bevy of medium-size homes, usually with at least three bedrooms. This community boasts several terrific schools, loads of recreational opportunities, and a variety of transportation options. Irvington features lots of dining options as well, such as the Myanmar Tea Room and Roamer’s Cocktail Lounge, which are within walking distance.
Baylands:
Low crime and top-notch schools best describe Baylands, which is located about an hour from downtown San Francisco. The area is home to many tech employees, with business parks and lots of dining options nearby. Try Bob Sang Korean BBQ for a delicious midday escape from the office.
