The best outdoor activities in Michigan are checking out the 3.5-mile riverfront, the Eastern Market, Greenfield Village, and the Detroit Zoo.- The Detroit Riverfront: A 3.5-mile stretch of riverfront running from Joe Louis Arena to Gabriel Richard Park. You’ll find parks, plazas, pathways, pavilions, and more.
- Greenfield Village: 80+ acres of outdoor museums to explore with over 83 authentic historic houses.
- Eastern Market: The large historic market on Russell Street is a major hub in the warmer months. Whether you check out the food scene, music, or art, it’s a must-see in Detroit.
