What are some winter care tips for cars?

I'm moving from Arizona to Minnesota with my Honda Civic. I've never lived in a place where it snows before and I want to make sure I'm taking good care of my vehicle.

“There are a few things you can do to ensure your vehicle will make it safely through the winter.
The first thing to do is replace your regular tires with winter tires. This will help give you more traction on icy pavement. When the temperature drops, you’ll need to check your tire pressure regularly.
Make sure to always leave a little gas in your tank in case of an emergency. Also leave your windshield wipers in the up position to prevent them from freezing to the glass.
Even with the proper preparation, icy roads can be slick and you may slide. Consider reviewing your current
car insurance
policy and roadside assistance plan.
