I live in Georgia and my AC system has been acting up. I think there’s air stuck inside. What are some tips for how to purge air from a car AC system?

The best tips for how to purge air from a car AC system include evacuating it with a vacuum pump and then recharging it.
Professionals will start by using a vacuum pump to remove all the air from the system. Then, the AC system will be recharged and checked for leaks.
Bleeding an AC system is a task best performed by professionals, as there are toxic chemicals and high-pressure parts involved. Freon can be very damaging so the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and proper disposal are a must.
This should cost you about $200, depending on where you live and the skill of the technician. If you live in a hot climate like Georgia, you should get this repair performed ASAP!
