What are some risks associated with being a taxi driver?

I'm considering working as a taxi driver, but I'm hesitant. What are some risks that are associated with the job?

“While driving a taxi has its perks, it’s important to be aware of the risks associated with it.
First, driving a car frequently can increase your risk of getting into a car accident. Even if you are an extremely safe driver, you can’t control how others behave on the road. If you work at night, this can also increase your risk of getting into an accident as impaired drivers are more common.
Working long hours is also another risk. If you’re tired and driving, you risk falling asleep at the wheel or reduced reaction time. You may not be able to react as quickly to an accident or peril.
Another risk is passengers. There is no way to tell who is getting into your vehicle. You may fall victim to a carjacking or have someone refuse to pay their fare. You may also pick up people who are only going short distances or who don’t tip. This will impact the amount of money you make for the time you are driving.
Finally, the amount of time spent driving can impact your physical health. If you are driving for a significant amount of time every day, you can’t move around. This can impact your legs, back, and general health. Your eyesight may also suffer due to eye strain and constant focus on the road.
That said, don’t let these risks dissuade you from being a taxi driver! Every occupation comes with risks. If you’re aware of them, you can take action to ensure you’re safe and healthy.”
