Sorry to hear that! The three most common reasons that a
Hummer H3
won’t start are a problematic battery, starter, or alternator problems.
The first thing we’d recommend is checking your battery terminal connectors.
Many H3 drivers report problems with the OE (Original Equipment) connectors. You may want to try swapping out your connectors for aftermarket parts. At the very least, give your battery terminals a good cleaning and see if that helps. Note that this won’t help if the battery is already near the end of its life.
Next, you could try cleaning or replacing the ignition switch. If you’re not accustomed to working on cars, ask for an ignition switch and starter inspection from a
trusted mechanic
.
Now might be a good time to review your
car insurance
coverage. Not only are the majority of drivers overpaying, but it sounds like you might benefit from some
roadside assistance
add-ons. Try using the
Jerry
app to quickly tweak your coverage or find savings.
Good luck with your Hummer!
