What are some national parks in the Midwest region?

I just moved from out West to the Midwest and I’m still getting used to the different culture and scenery. I’ve always been an outdoorsy person, so I’m used to visiting national parks. Are there any national parks in the Midwest region?

The Midwest is certainly a far cry from the West, but the food, scenery, and laid-back culture aren’t too shabby**. Fortunately, the Midwest has eight national parks for you to enjoy. They don’t have the mountains and canyons like out West, but they’re spectacular in their own right. Here are some national parks in the Midwest region:
  • Theodore Roosevelt National Park in
    North Dakota
  • Badlands National Park in North Dakota
  • Isle Royale National Park in
    Michigan
  • Voyageurs National Park in
    Minnesota
  • Gateway Arch National Park in
    Missouri
  • Cuyahoga National Valley in
    Ohio
