What are some common problems with the Toyota Highlander?

My nephew is selling his Toyota Highlander because he’s moving to New York City after college and doesn’t need it anymore. I think I’m going to buy it, but I want to make sure that it doesn’t have any major issues. Are there any common problems with the Toyota Highlander?

Thanks to a four out of five-star reliability rating from RepairPal, the
Toyota Highlander
is one of the most dependable midsize SUVs on the market. If you can get a great deal from your nephew, the Highlander is a great purchase. Just make sure to keep an eye out for some common Toyota Highlander problems:
  • Warm air blowing from the AC due to a faulty compressor
  • Defective airbags that don’t deploy on models between 2013 and 2016, although Toyota will fix these for free due to a recall
  • Loss of oil pressure due to a ruptured oil cooler line
  • Faulty ignition coil that can cause jerky acceleration
While car insurance won’t pay for your car’s mechanical issues resulting from wear and tear, it can protect your Toyota Highlander if you’re in an accident. Use the
