Toyota 4Runner
comes with a mix of standard safety features, including the Toyota Safety Sense P system and the Toyota Star Safety System. Safety Sense P provides active features, while the Star Safety System adds passive specs. Some of the highlights of both include:- Eight airbags
- Tire pressure monitoring system
- Pre-collision system with pedestrian detection
- Automatic high beams
- Lane-departure alert
- Dynamic radar cruise control
With its mix of safety features, the 2022 4Runner earns a mix of good and marginal crash ratings from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), which is essentially between two and four stars out of four. It also gets a four-star out of five-star rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
