Should I rent a car in Orlando?

We are packing up the family and heading to Orlando this summer to spend some time at the Disney resorts there. We might want to leave the resort and experience what the city has to offer besides the parks as well. Should I rent a car, or will I be able to get around using public transit?

Orlando
is one of the most magical family vacation spots in the country—especially when the Disney parks are on the itinerary! If you’re not planning on leaving the resort, you’re probably better off just relying on the Disney shuttles to get from place to place. However, if you’re planning to leave the resort for a more comprehensive Orlando experience, renting a car is an ideal way to experience the city.
Here are a few things to remember when renting a car in Orlando:
  • You’ll have to be over 25 years old to rent a car in Florida
  • Orlando is a high-demand market for rental cars, which makes prices more expensive
  • Planning your rental can help you avoid surging prices
If you do decide to rent a car in Orlando, make sure you invest in
