Should I rent a car in Ibiza?
I have been dreaming of our getaway to Ibiza for what feels like a decade, and it looks like I’m finally going to make it happen this year. I know I’m going to want to see all of the iconic sights, and I’ve heard that driving in Ibiza is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, but I also know that it can be really expensive. Should I rent a car on my vacation in Ibiza?

Public transit is the best way to get around Ibiza, especially if you’re looking to save money. During the day, public bus routes run every 10 to 15 minutes, connecting you to the furthest reaches of the island, and stretching to the airport so you can save on taxi fares.
Generally, bus fare costs between three and five Euros. The best way to get around at night is by using Ibiza’s well-connected DISCO BUS, which connects to all the major party spots and clubs throughout the island. A single ticket costs less than four Euros.
There’s also a fantastic selection of water taxis in Ibiza that you can take to beaches all over the area, and they cost about the same as the transport listed above. Of course, renting a car has its perks.
