Should I cancel my car insurance policy and use the insurance from my Visa card instead?

I will be traveling around the country for work for the next few months. Since I won't be driving my car, I would like to cancel my car insurance to save money. I think my Visa card will pay for the rental insurance; can I use the Visa insurance on the rental car instead?

“You will want to check the stipulations of the car rental agreement with Visa before you cancel anything. In most cases, Visa will provide
collision coverage
for a rental car; however, you will still need to secure
liability coverage
.
If your current policy has full coverage, the liability, collision, and
comprehensive coverage
will extend to your rental car for personal use, but it will not apply if you are using the car for business purposes.
In this situation, you may want to get a
non owners car insurance
policy. This will provide liability coverage for cars that you rent or borrow.
If you plan on parking your current vehicle, your carrier can change your policy to a non owners and then switch it back when you get home.
