Should I buy an extended warranty on a used car?

Is it a good idea to get a warranty for a used car? I want to buy used because it’s way more affordable, but I’m not sure if the warranty will be worth it.

The main reason for buying an extended warranty on a used car is peace of mind. If you’re worried that your used car might have some unseen mechanical problems, an extended warranty will make sure that you’re covered for the repairs.
However, it’s worth checking to see if the used car that you’re interested in still has an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) warranty in place. If it does, there’s no need to purchase another one unless you really want the extra protection.
You can also get
mechanical breakdown insurance
to help you cover unexpected trips to the mechanic that aren’t the result of a car accident.
Even if you get an extended warranty on your car, you’ll still need a car insurance policy to protect you in the event of an accident. The
