I left a ballpoint pen on my car seat and it exploded in the sun. How do I get the pen ink out of my car upholstery?

Bummer! Luckily, you can use some household supplies to get the pen ink out of your car upholstery.
For fabric car seats, start by mixing 1 tablespoon of dish soap with 2 teaspoons of white vinegar. Add this to 1 cup of warm water and dab the mixture onto the ink stains with a microfiber cloth.
Let it absorb and tackle the stain for about ten minutes. Then, use the dry side of the cloth to absorb excess liquid. From there, clean the stained areas one more time with clean, cold water.
Your seats should look good as new! If you still have ink stains on your seats, consider using a specialty car upholstery cleaner or contacting a
professional detailer
. Detailers often have industrial cleaning supplies made for tough stains.
