Of the two pedals, which one is the brake in a car?

I’m learning how to drive and am trying to get familiar with all of the pedals and gear shifts in my car! But I can never remember which is the brake—out of all of the pedals, which one is my car’s brake?

Wow, that’s so exciting! It’s definitely a good idea to familiarize yourself with the pedals before hitting the road.
Your car’s brake is the wide, rectangular pedal to the left of the accelerator (the accelerator is the tall and skinny rectangular pedal to the far right). This is the same across all vehicles, so don’t worry about this changing when you get behind the wheel of a different car!
Since you’re new to the road, it’s important to have a solid
