Is there a way to fix my car's sun visor?

My car's sun visor won't stay in place. I'm a little worried about this becoming a safety issue, but I don't have a lot of money at the moment so I need a way to DIY it. How can I fix my visor so I'm not blinded by the sun?

“That’s a great question! I’m happy to say it’s a simple task, even for a novice DIYer.
First, you need to identify whether it’s a fixed mount or a swivel mount.
  • For fixed mount visors: Tighten the screws to fix the problem.
  • For swivel mount visors: Tighten the screws in the same fashion, but not too tight, as you still want it to be able to swivel.
Do this repair as soon as possible. Without a sun visor, your visibility can drop dramatically or cause a distraction, which may lead to an
accident
