Is there a way to appeal a denial from a car insurance company?
Can I fight my insurance company over a claim they denied? I was in an accident last week. I’ve had my policy for a car, but I started working for Uber Eats last month. I’ve always paid on time. How can they say I am not covered?

“I am sorry to hear about your accident, you can always submit an appeal letter to your insurer when you feel they are wrong.
Unfortunately, in this situation, the appeal is likely to get denied due to misrepresentation. Most insurance companies do not allow cars to be used for delivery services.
Insurance companies that allow this service require a special endorsement added to the
car insurance
policy.Anytime a customer starts using their car differently, an insurance provider needs to be notified ahead of time.
Take a look at the exclusions page in your policy documents. It’s very likely that your policy excludes delivery services.
If your appeal request is denied, ask your insurance carrier if you can add the endorsement to your policy moving forward.
