Electric cars are still very new to the automotive industry—so recycling policies regarding their disposals are still in their early stages.
According to President Biden’s strategy to make the US an EV powerhouse, there will be systems intended to boost domestic recycling of
electric car
batteries. Since all the components of the batteries are recyclable, the next step for the US is to develop a system to recycle and reuse the raw materials in the industry.
A well-thought-out recycling process can ensure fewer raw materials are pulled from the ground. These materials can increase the percentage of recycled material that gets put back into the battery. The infrastructure will help to manage batteries at the end of their life cycle.
