Is the warranty on a MINI transferable?

I’ve had my MINI Cooper for a few years now, but I’m thinking of getting a different model. I want to give the car to my son, but I’m wondering if the warranty will still be active once we transfer the title to his name. Can you transfer the warranty on a MINI?

Thankfully, warranties for all
MINI
vehicles are transferable to new owners so long as the original factory warranty hasn’t expired. For reference, the current warranty for MINI vehicles contains the following coverages:
  • 4-year or 50,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty
  • 12-year rust perforation warranty
Unfortunately, the MINI’s bumper-to-bumper warranty isn’t particularly long, so unless you’ve had your Cooper for less than four years, only the rust perforation warranty will be transferable. You can help strengthen the protection of your MINI by investing in affordable and reliable
