Is the Rolls-Royce self-driving car electric?

My husband loves Rolls-Royce. Owning one is on his bucket list, and I’d really like to get him one as an anniversary present. It’s important to me that the next vehicle we buy is electric, so I want to make sure Rolls-Royce is going in that direction. My husband has talked about the automaker’s self-driving car a lot, and that might be a nice splurge present for him. Is the Rolls-Royce self-driving car electric?

Great question! The Rolls-Royce 103EX is a fully-autonomous, all-electric concept vehicle. Featuring no steering wheel, an all-electric drivetrain, and an enhanced AI, this self-driving car is Rolls-Royce’s way of showing it is coming into the future.
Concept cars are usually one-off or limited production vehicles that auto manufacturers create to show their capabilities and vision for the future. In 2016, Rolls-Royce introduced this car of the future—one that can drive itself and run on only electricity.
The 103EX is an unforgettable vehicle for its features and look. Large and in charge, the doors swing up and out for standing entry. The wheel wells are covered, giving the vehicle a futuristic look that brings the Jetsons to mind. Rolls-Royce did away with the steering wheel, choosing to have a glass panel instead, flowing into sleek modern lines.
