Is the Kia K5 GT Line AWD?

I’ve owned several Kia Optima models throughout my life, but I just learned that Kia recently changed the name to the K5. I need a new car, so I want to get something similar, but I also want a sporty look and all-wheel drive (AWD). Does the Kia K5 GT Line come with AWD?

The
Kia K5 GT Line
offers AWD, but you will need to plop down an extra $1,800 for the improved drivetrain. The GT Line comes with standard front-wheel drive (FWD) if you don’t upgrade, but it still has the same features otherwise.
The only major difference outside of improved handling is that the Kia K5 GT Line with AWD will experience lower fuel economy, but this is typical of AWD models. Instead of the 37 mpg on the highway and 27 mpg in the city that the FWD version achieves, the AWD version gets 34 mpg on the highway and 26 mpg in the city. You’ll simply have to weigh whether you want the added handling or better fuel economy.
For the 2022 model year, Kia changed the name of the
Optima
to the K5, but the differences are mostly in name only. If you were a loyal fan of the Optima in the past, the K5 should have all the features and styling you desire.
