Is the alternator covered by Nissan’s warranty?

I have a 2020 Nissan and the battery warning light popped up earlier this week. I tried starting it just now but I think my battery is dead. Is the alternator covered by Nissan’s warranty?

So sorry to hear you’re having car trouble! While all new
Nissan
purchases come with a Basic Coverage Warranty that lasts for 3 years or 36,000 miles and a Powertrain Warranty that lasts for 60 months or 60,000 miles, neither warranty specifically states if the alternator is covered—according to the 2020 Nissan Warranty Information Booklet. We would suggest reaching out to your Nissan dealer to make sure so you hopefully don’t have to pay out of pocket.
But before you head down to the dealership, you should check to see if your car just needs a
jump-start
first. Nissan batteries typically last for about two to five years.
