Is the 2019 Nissan Leaf a completely electric car?
I get confused sometimes with hybrids and electric cars. I’ve been looking at various Nissan Leafs, and I’m trying to pick the right model that works with my current budget. Can you please tell me if the 2019 Nissan Leaf is a completely electric car?

The Nissan Leaf is an excellent, best-selling EV! You’ll be happy to know that the 2019 Nissan Leaf is indeed a fully electric car and starts at just over $30,000.
Here’s what we know about the electric 2019 Nissan Leaf:
- Standard 2019 models feature a 110-kW electric motor with 147 hp that uses a 40-kWh battery pack to send power to the front wheels. The Leaf Plus offers a 160-kW electric motor with 214 hp and a 62-kWh battery.
- The 2019 Nissa Leaf can hit 60 mph in 7.4 seconds and has a driving range of about 150 miles. If you opt for the S Plus trim level, you’ll get a 226-mile range.
- A semi-autonomous driving mode is available as well as a spacious cabin. The Leaf also qualifies for the $7,500 federal tax credit.
Now that you can feel confident that the 2019 Nissan Leaf is in fact an electric car, make sure you also feel confident about the car insurance that’ll be protecting it. Most of us are paying way too much for our monthly policy, and there’s no need!
