Can insurance cover a replacement windshield? My windshield has had a chip out of it for some time.

“In general, your car insurance won’t cover general maintenance, so if something’s broken due to normal wear and tear, you’re responsible for the costs of repair.
In the case of a windshield chip, your comprehensive car insurance, if you have it, might cover the cost of a replacement if it’s named in your policy.
Check with your insurance provider to confirm the specifics.”
