Is Peugeot a luxury car?
I read that Peugeot plans on entering the American market in 2023. While I saw a few of these cars when I was in Europe, I don’t know much about them. Would a Peugeot be considered a luxury car?

You’re right about Peugeot returning to the American market in 2023 after pulling out in 1991. However, Peugeot is not considered a luxury car in any other market across the globe. With that said, the French-made Peugeot is still an exciting option for people looking for something a little different.
Some of the features of new Peugeots in the American market include:
- Diesel or gas-powered options, the latter of which offers a robust but efficient 1.6-liter turbo-four
- Comfortable interior
- 10-inch digital touch screen
- 12.3-inch instrument cluster
- Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
The lauded Peugeot 508 is estimated to cost between $36,000 and $50,000 when it hits American markets. And while Peugeot isn’t a luxury brand, it plans to compete with the BMW 3-series and the Mercedes-Benz A-Class in terms of the target market and price point.
