Is lane splitting legal in Idaho?

I see people split lanes at one particular intersection all the time and it always makes me so nervous. Is it legal for motorcyclists to split lanes in Idaho?

No wonder it makes you nervous! Lane splitting is not legal in
Idaho
, nor is it legal in most U.S. states. Of course, that doesn’t stop motorcyclists from performing this dangerous act, since it does often save people time on busy roads.
Hopefully, these drivers also have
motorcycle insurance
, as it is legally required within the state as well. This would protect them (and you!) in the event of an accident, which is more likely when drivers are exhibiting dangerous behaviors.
