Is it better to have your own non owners policy or to be added as a driver to another policy?

I am moving in with my fiancée's family at the end of the month. I no longer have my own car, but her family said they could add me to their policy and drive their cars. I was going to keep a non owners policy for myself. Should I be added to their policy instead?
