Is it better to charge your electric car every night?

I’m considering buying an electric car, but I don’t know if I want to spend the time and money on electricity to charge it every single night. Is it better to charge your electric car every night, or can you skip a few days?

The amount you’ll need to charge your new
electric car
will depend on how much you drive every day, but most likely you actually won’t need to charge it every night!
If you drive an average of 40 miles per day and have an electric car with a 250-mile range, you’ll only need to charge it about once every 6 days. In fact, over charging your car can be detrimental to the battery’s health over time.
You only need to charge when your battery capacity is at 20% or below, and you should only charge it up about 80% capacity to extend the battery’s life.
