Is it bad to buy a Chevy truck with 200k miles?

I’m shopping for a used truck and the one I want has a lot of mileage. Is 200,000 miles too much to be worth my time and money?

Have fun car shopping! Used cars can be smart purchases, but we’d advise against buying a Chevy truck with 200k miles. That’s a lot of mileage and wear and tear, and the truck might not be worth what you will have to pay in maintenance and upkeep.
Here are some tips for buying a used truck or car:
  • Research what the car is worth
  • Take a road test
  • Take it to a mechanic for an inspection
  • Check the VIN to find specific info about the truck
  • Use CARFAX to get a history of the truck
  • Ask the right questions
  • Don’t be scared to *negotiate
Once you have your new (old) truck, take a minute to make sure you aren’t overpaying for
