Is I-270 a toll road in Colorado?

My brother’s driving in from San Francisco next week to visit me here in Denver. He’s bugging me about tolls and how much he’ll have to pay—I don’t even have a car! He wants to know if I-270 is a toll road. I’m the worst person to ask for this. Is I-270 in Colorado a toll road?

I-270 is a toll road.
There are three toll roads in all of
Colorado
. They are:
  • E-470 Toll Road: This 47-mile route runs along the Denver metro area’s eastern perimeter, and provides easy access to the Denver International Airport.
  • Northwest Parkway: This 9-mile toll road conveniently connects the E-470 at I-25 for easy access to the North Denver Area.
  • Pikes Peak Highway: A 19-mile toll road connecting Cascade, Colorado, and the summit of Pikes Peak, this highway reaches an altitude of more than 14,000 feet.
To use toll roads in Colorado, you must prepay $35 for an ExpressToll Account. Of this fee, $18 is used to pay for the sticker transponder you place in your vehicle, and the remaining $17 is used as a balance on your account. When you enter a Colorado toll road, an electronic meter at each toll road entrance reads your transponder to bill your account, which is connected to your vehicle registration. Toll prices vary due to traffic volume and the date and time of usage. Prices are posted on electronic and static signs before entering a toll road.
