Is Georgia giving incentives to buy electric cars?
I live in Georgia, and I’m trying to save a few bucks on purchasing my new EV. Can you tell me if Georgia is giving incentives to buy electric cars?

Incentives for buying electric cars may be available in some states, but you won’t find any in Georgia.
A few years ago, you would’ve been able to find an incentive for buying a new electric car in Georgia, but those rebates ended on December 31, 2021. The only available rebate left is for those who install a level 2 charger in their home. Those customers can receive a refund of up to $250.
However, all is not lost. If eligible, you may still qualify for a federal income tax credit of up to $7,500 as a resident of the U.S. As electric vehicle adoption rates rise and electric cars become more affordable, we may see fewer incentives for new purchases. So it’s best to take advantage of any savings available now.
