I will be moving to the U.S. from India for my new job, and I will need to commute to work by car. Can I drive in the USA with my Indian driving license?

Congratulations on your upcoming move!
An Indian driving license is typically valid in the USA for up to six months after your date of arrival, as long as it is issued in English and easily legible.
You’ll need to get an International Driving Permit before arriving in the USA if your license is not in English.
Next steps: You should apply for a state-issued driver’s license as soon as possible to ensure that you can keep your driving privileges. In general, you must satisfy the requirements below to be eligible:
Be 18 years old or over
Have a valid foreign driving license or IDP (it cannot have expired)
Be free of medical conditions that will make you unfit for driving
policy that meets your new state’s minimum coverage requirements.
Keep in mind: Each state has different driver’s license requirements for new residents. Contact your state’s motor vehicle department or driver’s licensing department for the details.
