Tesla warranties are transferable under one condition: Tesla completes the vehicle ownership transfer.
If you’re going to be a Tesla owner, it’s important to understand the warranty options:
  • Basic Vehicle Limited Warranty: Covers four years or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first
  • Supplemental Restraint System Limited Warranty: Lasts five years or 60,000 miles, whichever comes first
  • Battery and Drive Unit Limited Warranty: Coverage varies based on the model (e.g., the
    Model S
) and lasts eight years or 150,000 miles, whichever comes first
  • Used Vehicle Limited Warranty: Provides an additional one year or 10,000 miles of coverage after the Basic Vehicle Limited Warranty expires
Pro tip: Driving a used Tesla is expensive, so review your
