Is a Scion TC a good first car?

I’m getting ready to buy my first car. I’ve had my license for a while, but I’ve never had a car of my own, and I want to get a good one. I think I’ve found a good deal, but is a Scion TC a good first car?

Congratulations on getting ready to buy your first car! It’s great that you’re doing your research first, and, yes, the Scion TC could be a great first car for a number of reasons:
  • It’s got lots of standard features
  • It’s sporty-looking, inside and out
  • It received five-star overall safety ratings from the NHTSA, plus an overall Good rating from the IIHS
If you’re happy with a used vehicle, the Scion TC is a great choice, but with today’s used vehicle market, you may be able to afford a new Kia Forte or Nissan Versa for just a bit more cash. You’ll get a full warranty and a lot of great safety features not available on the Scion TC.
