Is a Jeep Patriot an SUV?
I’m thinking about getting a Jeep Patriot. My sister owns one and says she loves it, but I’m worried that it won’t ride like I want it to. Is the Jeep Patriot an actual SUV or is it something else?

Although it’s marketed purely as an SUV, the Jeep Patriot is actually a compact crossover or compact crossover SUV depending on who you ask. All this means is that the Patriot rides on a unibody platform rather than a body-on-frame platform that’s commonly found in trucks. In most cases, this means that your ride will actually be smoother than a true SUV—however, your towing capacity may taper off compared to actual SUVs.
