Is a 1.2-liter engine good for motorway driving?

Am I able to go for a long drive with a 1.2-liter engine, or should I get a different vehicle for my road trip in a few weeks? I’ve been considering renting a car because the drive is so long, but I’m not sure what kind of vehicle I should be looking for.

While a 1.2-liter engine will work for motorway driving, most people recommend a 1.4 to 1.6-liter engine at the smallest. 1.2-liter engines are better for city driving, where you’ll be doing a lot of stopping and starting. You’ll get a better fuel economy rating from a small engine this way.
If you’d like to

, aim for a vehicle that’s very comfortable and also has a good fuel economy rating. That way, you can use less fuel while still feeling comfortable for your long trip.
