I want to get a car loan and my credit score is 730. What credit score do you need for a car loan?

According to
Credit Karma
, a 730 credit score is considered good. Although it’s not in the top tier, it’s definitely strong enough to garner consideration for a car loan at a good interest rate.
However, your credit score isn’t the only determinant of whether a lender will approve you for a
car loan
. Lenders also look at income, credit history, and debt-to-income ratio.
Generally speaking, you need to have:
  • A steady income (this is up to the lender’s discretion)
  • Two years or more of credit history
  • A debt-to-income ratio of 43% or less after you factor in the new loan
If you meet these criteria, you shouldn’t have any problem getting a car loan with a 730 credit score.
