Is 680 a good enough credit score to get a car loan?

I've worked hard to build my credit score from the 400s to 680 and I want to reward myself with a new car. Is 680 good enough to get a car loan?

Wow! Great job to build your credit score from 400 to 680! That’s quite an accomplishment.
This is definitely good enough to get a good loan! A 680 credit score qualifies you for prime car loan rates, which means your interest rates won’t be out the wazoo.
You should ideally look for rates around 6-8% with your credit score.
Just remember that your income and debt-to-income ratio also play a significant role in your car loan application. As long as you have decent to above-average income and you aren’t drowning in debt, you should have a decent chance for approval.
You’ll also need to present proof of insurance before you drive your new car off the lot, and comparison shopping is your best shot at finding the best rates. Download the Jerry app to compare rates from over 50 top providers, from Allstate to Safeco.
