In which states are u-turns illegal?

I want to do a cross-country trip to all the best diners in America, but I’m not the best at following maps or directions. Can you tell me which states don’t allow u-turns?

Sunny skies, open roads, a hungry driver, and
a guide to the best diners in America
are the recipe for a perfect road trip! Since a traffic ticket is likely to spoil your appetite, you should know that U-turns are legal in all 50 states but are more heavily regulated in
Oregon
.
In the Beaver State, you cannot make U-turns at intersections with traffic lights unless you see a sign that explicitly allows it. You should also make sure you have visibility for 500 feet in cities and 1,000 feet outside of them in order to check for oncoming traffic.
In every other state, you should follow common-sense U-turn practices:
  • Don’t cross double/triple yellow lines
  • Don’t cross divided roads or medians
  • Do check for traffic
  • Do respect the right of way
If there are any dedicated U-turn lanes, as in Georgia and Texas, make sure to use them.
