If my girlfriend, 25, is on my car insurance, but she lets a friend borrow her car, should I be concerned?

"I'm worried that if her friend drives the car and gets into an accident, I'll have to deal with the repercussions. I have a clean driving record and I want to keep it that way."

“Since
car insurance
generally follows the vehicle and not the driver, yes, you do have some reason to be concerned. If your girlfriend’s friend gets into an accident, your insurance will cover the costs since it will be considered the primary form of coverage. And your rate may be impacted.
If the damages from the accident exceed your coverage limits, then your girlfriend’s friend will have to use their own insurance to cover the remaining expenses.”
