If my boyfriend adds me to his GEICO policy, will it increase or decrease his rates?
"My boyfriend and I both have separate policies and separate cars. Should we combine them? Right now, my boyfriend has the better rate with GEICO, but I am wondering if he adds me to his policy how much his rate will change."
“The cost of adding a new driver and vehicle to an existing policy depends on the vehicle that needs to be insured and the risk of the new driver. For instance, if your vehicle is significantly more expensive to insure or if you are considered a “”riskier”” driver than your boyfriend, his rates would increase significantly.
Typically, adding another vehicle will increase your rates more than adding a new driver to an already covered vehicle, especially if you two have similar risk profiles. The only way to know for sure what the rate increase will be is to get a quote from GEICO.”

Can unmarried couples be listed on a homeowner's insurance policy together?
Can my boyfriend and I be listed on the homeowner's policy together even though we aren't married? We have finally saved enough for a downpayment and just started shopping for our first home. Since we are both making the payments, both of our names will be listed on the deed and mortgage. I am not sure if we can be listed the same way on the homeowners' insurance.

Will homeowner's insurance cover damage from frozen pipes bursting?
When does homeowner's insurance pay for water damage? I live in the south where it usually doesn't get that cold in the winter. I woke up this morning and there were two inches of water all over my first floor! Flooding isn't usually covered I know, but I don't see how I could have prevented this.
