If I'm looking for a new car insurance quote, do I need to be honest with the company about the accident I just had?
My policy is currently with GEICO, but I'm hoping to find a cheaper option. Will my accident prevent that?

“It’s likely that your accident has already been recorded in an insurance industry loss database, so lying to a new insurance company in order to get better rates isn’t going to be work. Be honest from the get-go to get the most accurate quote possible.
While the accident will cause your rates to rise, it’s still possible to find affordable insurance. If you’re looking to compare car insurance quotes online the Jerry app is a good place to start.
A licensed broker, Jerry does all the hard work of finding the cheapest quotes from the top name-brand insurance companies and buying new car insurance. Jerry will even cancel your old policy for you. “
