If I was in an accident with four other cars, how will my insurance handle it?

"Multiple drivers and insurance companies will be involved. I want to know what to expect from this process."

“The police report from the accident will help the
car insurance companies
determine which parties are involved.
Then, once you hand things over to your insurance company, they will work with the other insurance companies involved to assign fault. For example, they may assign 30% of the blame to you and 70% to another party or parties.
Once the matter of fault is settled, they’ll make the appropriate claim payouts to the parties involved.
The bottom line is that insurance companies work together to navigate these complicated situations, and all you can do is provide them with the information that you have. They’ll take care of the rest.”
