If I just got new car insurance two weeks ago, how long should I wait to file a claim?

"I'm just wondering if there is a cost benefit to waiting a certain period before using my new policy."

“Since
car insurance
operates on a per-claim basis, as long as the incident occurred within your policy period, you should be able to file a claim. You are covered from the first day that your new policy begins.
There’s no financial benefit in waiting to use your policy. Just keep in mind that filing a claim may affect your premium.”
